Why I Built This
I kept going over budget on groceries. Not by a lot — just enough to add up over weeks and months. The problem wasn't willpower. It was visibility. I had no idea what I was spending until I got to the register.
Existing apps were either too complicated (full finance suites I didn't need) or too simple (basic lists with no budget tracking). I wanted something in between — a shopping list that actually tracks your spending in real time.
So I built GroceryBudget. It's the app I wanted when I was standing in the grocery aisle, wondering if I could afford to add one more thing to the cart.
